Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need a referral from my doctor?
Physical therapy service is direct access in the state of Washington meaning that you do not need a referral to attend PT treatment sessions. However, if you are planning to submit a claim to your insurance company to be reimbursed for your session then a physician referral may be required.
How does mobile physical therapy work?
All of the necessary equipment such as a portable treatment table, manual therapy tools, and exercise equipment will be brought to you. Regardless of location, effective physical therapy is to be designed so that people can perform their exercises easily at home. Whether it is your living room, garage, home gym, or a neutral location of your choice, a treatment plan will be created specific to you.
Why Mobile physical therapy?
In today’s healthcare environment, physical therapists are spending less and less time with their patients. The majority of clinics in the country are spending only 20-25 minutes with patients before doubling up on patients or handing care off to support staff. These same physical therapists then ask patients to attend PT treatment multiple times per week to offset this reduction in treatment time. The mobile, concierge model allows for uninterrupted one-on-one care for the entirety of the session. This allows patients to maximize time with their provider and accommodate busy schedules.
Do you accept insurance?
Payment for sessions will be self pay. If you have out of network benefits, a bill will be made available to you upon request so that you may submit a claim to your insurance company website for reimbursement. Speak with a representative from your insurance company before an appointment for more specific information regarding this process.
How long are sessions?
Sessions typically run 55-70 minutes but can be flexible to your needs.
